Learning to read all over again!

How many of you have fell into the trap of forgetting how to read?  I never was much of a reader my entire life, but if I found a book I Liked I would read it.  Other than children's books, My reading list was not very long.  My first book was in the 6th grade, we were to check out a book of a country in the world and write an essay.  What? you had to work in school?  Yep, you betcha, After pulling myself away from the National Geographic (African Issues) I selected one about Russian History, I don't know why it just seemed like the thing to do.  It was a little tough on a 12 year old but I read it and turned in my essay, "The Bears Tale", I don't know the grade I got but at least I turned it in.

Junior High and High School were not much reading except for the boring Literature assignments we had to do.  As it was I got through.  Over the years Reading was not the most interesting thing I would do, some time I would pick up a book and read it but I was no book hound.  At a point TV came along and books started to slow down in my life but every once in a while one would come along and spark my interest.  Sea stories, James Bond and the Executioner series were good.

As time passed Audio books on tape and then on disk and DVDs, it was so much easier to listen than to exercise my brain actually reading words and making sense of the story.  There is hope.

Recently I got a book, Fiction, Thriller, and started reading it. Just in case you are wondering, I do read but mostly Internet (anything), but this was different, the book caught my interest and I sat down in two nights read it.  The Book was wildly extreme to any extent of any one's imagination breaking any barrier of imagination one could have.  The ending was as expected, the characters involved taking a chance to escape from their life of servitude for subsistence.  They left with the knowledge that they would no longer be "Cared for" and would have to make their own way, and care for themselves with only what they could carry in a cotton cloth, and the clothes on their back.

Congress is gearing up for a full week of Benghazi-related hearings next week, including a Nov. 13 hearing behind closed doors of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, led by Chairman John Kerry (D-MA). Kerry has written two letters to the State Department requesting congressional access to information and documents related to the circumstances leading up to and during the attack that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens. Several sensitive documents have already been leaked to congressional offices and the media, so the State Department has decided to let some senators view Benghazi documents but not take them home.

Just a quick shout!  Our friends in Egypt have taken over our embassy and put up a hostile flag, meanwhile our friends in Lybia have burned our consulate!  And we are giving Egypt 3 billion dollars,for submarines.  WTF is going on in Washington?

WE LOST, "GIVE UP" !!

This popped up on my facebook page this morning,  it was from a young adult, not an old Fart like me.  There was one "like" vote!  I hope this is not the attitude of our young adults of our nation!  GOD Bless America and "NEVER GIVE UP"

        Please take the constitution out of the box and hang it up, put the roses in a vase! That grungy looking piece of paper has survived over 200 years. The only time we lose it is if we GIVE-UP, and stop fighting for it!!!!! We got rid of A KING many years ago, we don't need another, VOTE VOTE VOTE. Just a korny old man's comments, Wake up.

This realy SUCKS!

If I work for a company and am not happy, I have two choices 1.  Lump it and keep going, or 2. "QUIT"
Even though our fine men and women in the military are Volunteers,  This does not mean they are volunteering to stand-by and wait to be Killed.  The Scum-bag Nut-bags who for the Glory of "ALLA" kill themselves to kill the "INFIDELS" is really stupid.  We believe in life, they believe in death!  If given the chance, i I will gladly have my picture taken with the Dead Sucker, as long as I am the one standing.  If our Military could QUIT, as in a Civilian Job they would lose a lot less Money.  BUT  a member of our fine Men in uniform does not have that choice.  In our situation in that Hell Hole it's kill or be killed,  the rules have been changed, now we have to kiss their A$$ before we kill them and hope we get out of the way before the next nut case tries to kill you.  WALK AWAY! LET THEM ALL KILL EACH OTHER!!!!!
